About
Transition, Reinvention & Leadership Coach
About me
Dr. Salome Gitoho has strategically centered her practice on Transitional Coaching, Mediation, and Training, identifying these disciplines as the foundational pillars of corporate and personal excellence. Her work is rooted in the firm belief that Authentic Leadership and Inclusive Solutions are no longer optional; they are the fundamental requirements for success in a modern, globalized world. She has dedicated her practice to serving Multinational NGOs, Public Sector Bodies, Hospitality Conglomerates, and Tech Giants, sectors that operate at the critical intersection of high stakes and high complexity. Through her extensive experience, Dr. Salome has identified the recurring, systemic challenges that leaders and organizations face: the friction of diverse perspectives, the inherent isolation of leadership, and the persistent gap between strategy and inclusive execution. For Dr. Salome, these pain points are more than professional hurdles; they are deeply rooted in our broader societal evolution. By leveraging Mediation as a bridge and Coaching as a blueprint, she delivers sustainable interventions that evolve institutions to move them beyond systemic discord into organizational cohesion and transforming latent potential into measurable impact. This wealth of institutional hindsight is further refined in her book, “HR Practice: A Rear View.” By capturing decades of professional navigation through real-world workplace stories, she provides leaders with a reflective mirror to evaluate their own systems. Her writing serves as a bridge between past lessons and future foresight, offering a practical roadmap for those seeking to master the complexities of people management and governance.

BIO
In an era of global complexity, leadership demands alignment. Strategy alone no longer delivers results. People, systems, and purpose must move in the same direction. With over 30 years of experience across four continents, Dr. Salome Gitoho supports organizations working to balance ambitious goals with human potential. This bridge-building capability is anchored by a multisector mastery that distinguishes her in the field. Dr. Salome’s expertise transcends the confines of a single boardroom; her career trajectory includes senior leadership across the Government of Kenya, international NGOs such as ICRAF, and healthcare giants like The Nairobi Hospital. This diverse perspective enables her to navigate the nuances of public policy, private enterprise, and diplomatic mandates with equal fluency, effectively bridging the gap between global governance at UNEP and UNESCO and localized strategic oversight at the Murang’a County Budget and Economic Council. Beyond strategy, Dr. Salome recognizes that sustainable success is closely linked to internal culture. Guided by the conviction that systemic discord remains the primary barrier to growth, she leverages her doctoral research in Values-Based Leadership and her expertise as a Certified Professional Mediator to transform organizational misalignment into strategic synergy. This commitment extends into her work on inclusive leadership. Grounded in practice and theory, Dr. Salome adopts a human-centered approach; as a trainer in Kenya Sign Language (KSL) and a certified MBTI Practitioner, she builds leadership systems where diverse perspectives are integrated and different strengths align toward shared goals. This rare blend of practice and theory has established her as a global scholar and practitioner. As a Fellow of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) and a lecturer at USIU-Africa, she has trained leaders in over 17 countries from Dubai to the Philippines, bringing a global perspective to local challenges. She further refines this decades-long journey in her book, “HR Practice: A Rear View,” offering leaders and individuals the hindsight necessary to develop their own strategic foresight.
Ultimately, Dr. Salome’s work is guided by the philosophy that success is a collective effort. Inspired by Abraham Lincoln’s reflection “I am a success today because I had a friend who believed in me” she brings that same dedicated belief to her practice. Whether it is in collaborating with Multinational NGOs, County Governments, or Visionary Founders, she moves organizations beyond the limitations of conflict and into a state of measurable impact and sustainable growth.
I am a success today because I had a friend who believed in me!
